ICIS is a market leader with a critical role in the analysis of transactions in the region for a diverse clientele comprised of major producers, converters, traders, and the financial markets. About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of assigned ICIS market products in the North American region. This includes: model management and development, extensive interaction with market participants, report generation, product forecasting, analysis, and strategic vision relating to the role. The role is to liaise with global team members in related chains, as well as to exercise alignment of products in collaboration with other locations. Location: * Houston, TX. Two days a week in the office is current policy with flexible days/hours to be agreed upon by candidate and their manager. You will be responsible for: * Conducting market discussions with buyers, sellers, converters, and traders to establish a view of market conditions with available data. * Translating market conditions into a concise view that informs clients and provides pricing clarity. * Managing, collecting, and populating data in models on an ongoing basis and integrating any change implications into ongoing forecasts. * Generating written text to accompany market analysis and to provide understanding of the conditions impacting procurement decisions for clients. * Providing fair, unbiased views for clients seeking a knowledge-based, analytical approach to markets. * Having responsibility for assigned market content in monthly publication. Including: models, forecasts, charts and written content delivered through a content management system. * Providing market viewpoint and expertise in conferences, raising ICIS visibility. * Ensuring communication is ongoing to the mutual benefit of the team and content creation. * Performing all other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Have Bachelor's degree. Engineering background would be advantageous. * Have ability to travel to client visits, market discussions and conference appearances as required from time to time. * Have 10+ years minimum relevant experience. * Have Buy/Sell supply agreements experience or related transactions a plus. * Have experience with Import/Export transactions a plus. * Have experience as an analyst in a similar role a plus. * Have expert analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form. In particular: Effective and efficient use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as a minimum * Have additional automation and data programming skills such as use of Python, Tableau are advantageous. * Have excellent verbal communication skills with clients are critical.
