As a Clinical Programming Intern with us, you'll find motivation and inspiration in a culture that emphasizes passion for patients as you discover your own strengths. How you will make an impact: * Develop an automated process for cleaning clinical trial data by utilizing Natural Language Processing (NLP). * Learn about clinical trial protocols, clinical trial database development, data capture, and data cleaning. * Apply knowledge gained to implement a tool that automatically identifies data cleaning requirements based on the clinical trial design. * Work with knowledgeable data managers and clinical programmers to identify requirements for the tool and aid with design and testing. * Involvement in user interface design and implementation. What you'll need (Required): * Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field. * Graduation date of December 2024 or later. * Availability for an assignment for a minimum of 10 weeks over the course of the summer. * Must be in good scholastic standing (3.0+ GPA or equivalent). * Must not require company sponsorship for an employment-based visa now or in the future. * Experience with programming skills. * Hands-on and highly motivated as a self-starter. * Ability to work cross functionally and on teams. * Strong communication and problem-solving skills. What else we look for (Preferred): * Experience with SAS and C# programming. * Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP). * Implementing machine learning models is a plus. Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families. For California, the base pay range for this position is $54,000 - $72,000 (highly experienced).
