Position Title: Freelance Photographer Reports To: Sr. Photographer Assignment Clarification: This position/assignment is a temporary (HR to confirm specific range of dates.) You will be considered an employee of System One, our 3 rd party partner of our contractor population, and/or of your specific freelance agency. Freelance Photographer: American Eagle Outfitters is looking for a dynamic fashion photographer with an extensive portfolio to work in our e-commerce photo studio. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven understanding of the fashion industry and the ability to raise the creative bar through commercially relevant imagery. The ability to work within and across large, interdependent teams is a must, so the right person will have an understanding of the balance needed between creativity, communication, and collaboration. Responsibilities of this role include: * Take direction from studio creative leads and collaborate on daily shoots with team members to follow style guides and produce consistent on figure product shots for AEO e-commerce * Continually achieve productivity and seasonal deadlines while maintaining established brand standards * Shoot supplemental assets as needed for email, stores and web set Qualifications: * Online portfolio that demonstrates expertise and judgment in the applied techniques of * on-figure fashion photography (composition, lighting, capture, and processing), as well as pre-production and post-production steps * Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial studio photography * Knowledge of common digital capture platforms (Canon/Nikon DSLRs, medium format systems); various lighting environments (strobe, continuous light); and best practices/conventions for grip and set safety * Knowledge of Broncolor, Profoto, and Arri lighting * Fluency in Capture One and Photoshop * Working knowledge of Mac OSX and PC computing platforms Pay/Benefits Information: * Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location * Subject to eligibility requirements, associates may receive health care benefits (including medical, vision, and dental); wellness benefits; 401(k) retirement benefits; life and disability insurance; employee stock purchase program; paid time off; paid sick leave; and parental leave and benefits * Paid Time Off, paid sick leave, and holiday pay vary by job level and type, job location, employment classification (part-time or full-time / exempt or non-exempt), and years of service.
