We're searching for a 3D Technical Director. In this role, you will * Build assets for populating highly realistic virtual worlds. * Design and implement procedural world building tools to power our scenario creation workflows. * Create complex scenarios and situations that test the Aurora Driver's perception system across cameras, lidar, radar, as well as other components. Required Qualifications * Experience with Houdini and procedural/automated methods for creating assets. * Experience with Python and scripting. * Experience with defining and implementing workflows and pipelines. * Passion for solving challenging, impactful problems. * Specializations (1 or more): * Procedural scene and geometry creation. * Vehicle, sets or human modeling. * Procedural surfacing/shading and texturing. Desirable Qualifications * Experience with Universal Scene Description (USD). The base salary range for this position is $168,000-$252,000 per year. Aurora's pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions.
