The Plourde and Pechenezhskiy Groups in the Physics Department at Syracuse University are soliciting applications for a joint post-doctoral researcher position for supporting research activities on characterizing and mitigating phononic and photonic poisoning in solid-state qubits. Experience in one of the following areas is desired: measurement automation, microwave electronics, microfabrication, and low-temperature physics. The successful candidate will explore quasiparticle poisoning in superconducting circuits, develop mitigation techniques, and test them. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility for renewal. The position involves both conducting research and supervising graduate students in both groups. Job Specific Qualifications * Advanced Python coding proficiency. * Prior record conducting experimental research in low-temperature or atomic, molecular, and optical physics.
