The highest-level individual contributor role that is responsible for staying up to date with latest technology and best practices of digital marketing, managing digital marketing channels independently, making day to day optimization decisions impacting significant budgetary commitments leveraging key ROI and KPI measurements. Prepare and manage digital marketing budget at the channel level. The Marketing Strategist brings extensive marketing/program development expertise and relies on high degree of business acumen to determine what data and analytics are required to drive key business decisions, recommendations and to continuously improve marketing results. This role also participates as a team member on work streams, projects, and initiatives that engage cross-organizational team members. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Works directly with digital and media agencies and internal execution staff to build marketing strategy, align resources and create marketing initiatives to meet key performance indicators and create growth opportunities. Conducts research to gather actionable intelligence on competitors, customers, and market trends; conducts follow-up to measure sales trends and marketing effectiveness. Acts as liaison with integrated planning, creative, compliance, measurement and analytics. * Leads large and complex marketing programs/initiatives that drive brand recognition and affinity, productivity, and client and revenue growth. Leverages extensive experience to drive strategic development that aligns with key corporate strategies and goals. * Continuously seeks ways to leverage technology, analytical tools, and agency proprietary tools to drive up ROI of digital marketing efforts. * Develop trusted relationships with key internal/external stakeholders to collaborate and influence across the organization contributing to the development of consumer offers that attract target segments, drive membership growth and increase member loyalty. * Translates strategic vision to drive flawless tactical execution; provides coaching to help grow organizational marketing acumen. * Leverages market data and analytics to influence success of marketing programs/initiatives and to continuously improve upon marketing results. Gathers field, member and stakeholder feedback to ensure alignment and to optimize effectiveness. Continues to build marketing intelligence through external and internal data sources. * Uses digital marketing expertise/experience to contribute to significant enterprise initiatives including client growth, brand relevancy and growth of core products. * Contributes to the development of marketing strategies that support the organizational Brand and Go-To-Market strategies; responsible for development of actionable tactics that support productivity and new client growth. Plans and creates positioning of brand through multiple digital (web, social, display, paid search) channels. * Develop trusted relationships with key internal/external stakeholders to collaborate and contribute to branding and distribution of member offers that attract target segments, drive client and revenue growth and increase member loyalty. * Responsible for managing to program budgets * Models Thrivent's leadership competencies - model the way, rally the team and deliver outcomes by demonstrating resiliency, working together to make the best decisions, and holding yourself and others accountable. * Supports and/or develops an environment in which Thrivent employees and colleagues are focused on continuous improvement, exceptional employee engagement, and an unwavering commitment to our clients. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Required: * 7-10 years of marketing or related experience. * College degree in marketing or related field; masters a plus but not required. * Expertise in SEM/Google/Microsoft paid search and paid social media strategies. * Excellent communication skills and exceptional customer service mindset. * Detailed-oriented and demonstrates strong project management and collaboration skills * Digital channel management and execution tools including ad platforms such as Meta & Google Ads, Customer Data Platforms, Campaign Orchestration (e.g., Adobe Campaigns, or other), Marketing Automation Platform (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other), Email Service Provider (e.g., Unica or other) * Applies a development mindset to stay current with digital marketing trends and advancements and implement next generation strategies within existing marketing solution ecosystem. * Strategic partner with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred: * Progressive relevant digital channel management experience in digital marketing within financial services or relevant industry * Ability to manage up/down and across a large organization. The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $99,535.00 - $134,665.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
