JOB DESCRIPTION Job Brief: Description: Duties: Responsible for the relatively independent performance of planning functions and projects requiring various combinations of skill in research, analysis, development, presentation and interpretation of concepts and data pertaining to planning and implementation of plans; required to be proficient in at least two sets of the three methods and principles; statistics, GIS, and design; assist in updating development Ordinances, including Zoning and Subdivision regulations, develop appropriate urban design standards to use in mixed use zoning districts; conduct studies and needs assessments for the development of programs to address significant community issues; compile information and make recommendations on special studies and prepare planning reports, collect, record and summarize statistical and demographic information; establish and maintain a comprehensive database. Qualifications: Possession of a Bachelor's degree in urban planning, architecture, urban design, or other job-related discipline; or other job-related discipline; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge,k skills, and abilities. PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT, APPLICANT RECOMMENDED FOR EMPLOYMENT SHALL BE REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS A URINALYSIS AND/OR BLOOD TEST TO SCREEN FOR ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUG ABUSE.
