Description Title: Cutorial Assistant Hiring Unit: C OF NAT SCI, SCHOOL OF LIFE SCIENCES, SCHOOL OF LIFE SCIENCES Location: UH at Manoa Salary: $18/hour Full Time/Part Time: Part-time Temporary/Permanent: Temporary Other Conditions: Appointment to begin approximately mid June 2024. Duties and Responsibilities The applicant will instruct and manage students in the digitization of herbarium specimens, curate new accessions to the collections, and contribute to specimen databasing. The candidate may assist with our integrated pest management plant as needed. Minimum Qualifications Must have a Bachelor's degree in botany or related field. Must be familiar with the proper handling of herbarium specimens and the basics of collection management. The applicant should be comfortable with the herbarium digitization workflow and pest management in natural history collections. Desirable Qualifications Past independent research experience using herbarium specimens in ecology and evolutionary biology.
