Job Summary Job Summary Purpose Partner with a full-time co-teacher to prepare and deliver the curriculum. Teachers hold high academic expectations for students, provide support to achieve those expectations, create a nurturing environment, and integrate the arts throughout the school day. The teacher collaborates with a co-teacher, other staff, and administrators to provide an engaging, lively program that fosters a love of learning and advances students' skills in academics, the arts, and social-emotional development. The teacher responds to a wide range of inquiries from members of the school community regarding the classroom program and student progress. Job Responsibilities Implement the adopted elementary curricula in a way that is developmentally appropriate and supports the Schoolwide Learning Outcomes (SLO's) Differentiate instruction to meet the skill levels of all students Model enthusiasm, love of learning, and kindness to set an example for students Create a class environment that promotes cooperation rather than competition Set a good example for the children by supporting colleagues, maintaining positive attitudes towards students, and working with others harmoniously Maintain an awareness of health and safety and communicate with colleagues and supervisors about health and safety issues as needed Form nurturing relationships with children.
