DESCRIPTION Seven Rivers Church is seeking an Assistant Pastor to provide oversight to our largest and most complex ministry, Seven Rivers Christian School, currently consisting of 700+ students and their families (growing to 900 in the next 3 years). He will work in coordination with the Headmaster to advance the mission and vision of SRCS, with a particular focus on fostering spiritual formation and maintaining gospel culture. As well, he will participate in the broader life of the church through pastoral duties as assigned (funerals, weddings, preaching, projects), especially when school is not in session. RESPONSIBILITYS & DUTIES * Encourage, equip, counsel SRCS faculty and teachers in the spiritual vision and values of the school * Champion gospel culture among the faculty, teachers, students, and families of the school * Foster unity and partnership between the church and the school * Work with the church to create outreach pathways to non-SRC families * Assist the school's academic team with Biblical instruction school-wide * Oversee and coordinate weekly chapel services * Create a system that assesses the spiritual health of students and sets discipleship goals * Serve as a point of contact for families experiencing tragedy or hardship * Teach a "critical" class at the school (i.e. 7th grade Bible) to create relational equity with students * Assist as needed with challenging admissions and discipline situations, especially when a church family * Represent the church at school board meetings * Have your own children in SRCS * Minister more broadly to SRC as a part of the pastoral team (funerals, weddings, preaching, projects), especially when school is not in session (not a school year only job) * Attend church staff meetings and participate in other staff outings and events as applicable Salary: Undisclosed Requirements QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS * Master of Divinity from a qualified Seminary * Ordained/ordainable in the PCA * Experience working in ministry with children, students, and adults * Experience with/exposure to/knowledge about Christian Education preferred * Congruence with SRC/SRCS mission, vision, and core values How to Apply PREFERRED SKILLS * Self-starter/Initiator * Strong grasp of the gospel of grace * Good communicator * Shepherd * Healthy marriage & family * Adaptable * Heart for the lost * Enjoys learning and growing * Pastoral Intuition * Team player * Not afraid of failure or change * A love for teaching and students Primary Contact: Maggie Gilbert Email: mgilbert@sevenrivers.org Phone: 3527466200 Apply Online: View
