The Department of Surgery, Division of Transplant Surgery at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, seeks candidates for an open rank, open track position as a transplant surgeon. Formal training and experience in pediatric transplant surgery and/or living donor liver transplant is highly desired. The incumbent will participate in and help lead and develop our growing pediatric and living donor liver transplant programs, provide clinical and surgical care relevant to these transplant populations, actively participate in the teaching program with students, residents and fellows, as well as develop innovation and research. Rank and tenure status will be determined based upon qualifications. The University will perform a background check and pre-employment health and drug screening prior to employment. Qualifications Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, relevant transplant surgery fellowship training and experience, and certification from the American Board of Surgery.
