Department: Job Description: JOB SUMMARY: The Market Research Analyst - Dedicated Accounts at Stevens Transport is responsible for leading market research initiatives that drive the dedicated sales efforts and contribute to the achievement of revenue and growth targets. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data related to market conditions, industry trends, and competitive activities, with a specific focus on lead generation and nurturing potential clients. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making and provide actionable insights that align with the company's goals. This is an Onsite office position at the Stevens Transport corporate Headquarters in Dallas, TX. JOB DESCRIPTION: Key Responsibilities * Conduct primary and secondary research to gather data on market conditions, competitors, customer preferences, and potential new business opportunities. * Actively prospect and generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and researching potential clients. * Directly engaging leads through various channels to qualify their need and/or interest in dedicated services then transitioning them to the appropriate salesperson for opportunity pursuit. * Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that can guide sales strategies and business development efforts. * Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs), market metrics, and the effectiveness of lead generation activities. * Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate research findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and executive teams. * Monitor industry trends, competitive intelligence, and economic factors to keep the company informed of relevant changes in the market and identify potential threats and opportunities. * Collaborate with internal teams to align research insights with marketing and sales strategies, ensuring the seamless execution of lead generation and customer acquisition efforts. * Utilize advanced analytics tools to enhance the accuracy and relevance of market research, optimizing lead generation and customer targeting strategies. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market research methodologies, best practices, and transportation industry trends. * Develop and execute sales plans that are future-oriented and support business strategies, focusing on lead generation and customer acquisition. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field. * 2-4 years of experience in market research or a related role, with a focus on lead generation and sales support. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. * Proficiency in market research tools, software, and lead generation platforms. * Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey research findings and recommendations to diverse audiences. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively across departments. * Knowledge of the transportation or logistics industry, with a specific understanding of dedicated services, is a plus. Preferred Qualifications * 3-5 years of experience in market research, with a strong emphasis on lead generation and business development within the transportation or logistics industry. * Proficiency in statistical analysis, data visualization tools, and CRM systems, such as Salesforce.com. * Experience with competitive analysis, market segmentation, and the development of targeted sales strategies. * Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
