Position Title: Proofreader Entity: KBRA Holdings, LLC Employment Type: Full-time Location: New York Summary: We are seeking a New York-based Proofreader to join our global Electronic Publishing (EP) team. The role will liaise with EP team members in our New York, London, and Pennsylvania offices to publish research and rating reports to KBRA.com and external platforms. About the Team The Editorial Department, as part of KBRA's EP team, thrives on maintaining the company's mission of providing timely, transparent, and thought-provoking research and ratings. The role will include the following responsibilities: * Perform quality assurance proofreading for documents that were converted from Word and Excel into our proprietary Publishing Platform. * Apply various proofreading styles (full read, slug read, etc.) to ensure high quality within established timelines. * Work closely with our Desktop Publishers to provide feedback. * Track and provide timely feedback on recurring errors. * Document and formalize processes as they evolve. * Prioritize and coordinate competing work demands and maintain composure under pressure. * Assist the Editorial team as needed. You will be successful in this role if you possess the following: * Bachelor's degree and relevant experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven publishing environment. * Previous experience as a proofreader, quality control, or quality assurance role, working as part of a team in a corporate environment or news desk. * Knowledge of credit ratings, bond markets, and/or debt securitization terminology desirable, but prior employment in financial services and other highly regulated industries is acceptable. * Experience and understanding of various proofreading methodologies. * Experience with publishing platforms such as EidosMedia Méthode. * Competency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. * Possess strong verbal and communication skills, and the ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels. * Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. * Ability to take initiative and work independently and with team members in a collaborative environment. * Flexibility in working outside of regular hours (9:00 am - 6:00 pm) if needed. Salary Range: The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $65,000 to $75,000. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills and other job-related factors.
