As a Graphic Artist Intern, you'll be assisting the Art Department with creating and evaluating vector art for imprinting onto a variety of promotional items based on vendor and department specifications. This internship is reviewed on a semester-by-semester basis to determine if 4imprint has the workload to continue the internship through the following semester. Here's what a typical day might look like. Other duties may be assigned. * Demonstrate the eight core principles that guide every 4imprint teammate on a daily basis: Honesty, Curiosity, Collaboration, Flexibility, Accountability, Empathy, Positive Attitude, Humility. * Create electronic images suitable for the imprinting of promotional items, as per instructions provided by our Customer Service Department. * Create Artwork and assist with a variety of projects as needed for other departments. * Create clean vector images from faxes, bitmapped images provided to us by the customer in a number of different electronic files. * Typesetting and providing proofs for customers' orders. * Create various line illustrations from photos & items. * Convert various file types into images usable in the creation of vector-based art. * Alter existing images/layouts so they are able to be imprinted on a variety of other items. * Assist in photography studio, as needed. Required education/experience: * Actively pursuing a two-year or four-year degree in Graphic Arts. * Demonstrates knowledge of Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. * Basic working knowledge of all production art related skills and terminology. * Knowledge of imprinting methods and experience in the promotional products industry a plus.
