Job Title: Senior Operations Program Manager Location: Cleveland, OH Business Unit: Team Wendy Purpose of Position: The Strategy and Business Operations function is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives and key programs within the head protection organization, in line with Group strategy, that drive operational efficiency and organizational growth. The Senior Operations Program Manager is an integral team member of this function, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of projects from inception to completion. The Senior Operations Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing cross-functional programs and initiatives that drive operational excellence. This could include transformation programs, projects aligned with enterprise initiatives, New Product Introduction (NPI), major commercial bids, Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts including Kaizens, or Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activities. This role includes close collaboration with executive leadership and cross-functionally to align business strategies with operational plans, ensuring that the company's objectives are met efficiently and effectively, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high-performance. This role requires a strategic thinker who can oversee complex projects from conception to completion, ensure alignment with business goals, and lead those programs to deliver on-time and on-budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations, project management, and process improvement, with a proven track record of managing large-scale initiatives in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a high performing candidate who is detail oriented, proactive, intellectually curious, and has strong interpersonal skills. Essential Job Functions: * Manage and guide the day-to-day activities of team members, tracking progress against plan, managing the project budget, identifying project risks and providing plans to mitigate those risks, startup and production phases of project life cycle. * Provide project management support and team leadership for * Collaborate with functional manager and cross-functionally to implement SBU-wide strategic objectives and monitoring/reporting progress. * Support and promote business enterprise initiatives including continuous improvement and process streamlining. * Being a key partner and support to the Director, Strategy and Business Operations. * Support the development of the Program Management Office (PMO), including developing project management tools and templates, aligned with Group business operating processes. * Support Bid and Proposal efforts as related to the definition of operational requirements, capability descriptions, and transition through production phase schedule and cost estimates. * Coordinate and track Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) in line with enterprise and SBU strategic objectives. * Support the team in implementing the "Avon way" of Program Management and embody the approach. * Support the Director, Strategy & Business Operations in establishing a high-performing team capable of delivering complex projects on time and on budget. * Responsible for adherence to functional operating procedures and applicable regulations. * Demonstrate personal and professional integrity critical to design, development, and manufacture of Military, Law Enforcement and First Responder life-safety products. * Ensure compliance with the company's work health and safety policies, standards and procedures. Qualifications Minimum Required: * Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, or Composites Engineering or related technical disciplines (but others will be considered). Equivalent military experience considered. * US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Required); * 7+ years of experience in Engineering or program management roles * 3+ years' experience directly managing engineering personnel and cross-functional matrix project teams in manufacturing environment. * Proven track record in delivering increasingly complex transformation programs. Preferred: * Experience in DOD, defense contractor, or other similarly regulated industry. * Program Management Institute PMP certification or equivalent coursework. * Previous experience with Lean/Six Sigma Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: * Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and SharePoint) required. * Functional knowledge of manufacturing operations including materials procurement, order processing, production planning, manufacturing methods, quality assurance, packaging, and distribution. * Functional knowledge of typical DOD contract types, FAR/DFARS, and US Gov't acquisition and contract management processes considered an asset. * Ability to lead and drive the identification, validation, and mitigation planning of all project risks, based on thorough understanding of the technical and business content of the integrated project plan and the work breakdown. * Has a thorough understanding of all functional work streams and a vision of an integrated project plan. * Excellent reading, writing, and presentation skills: must have a mastery of language. Great spelling, punctuation and grammar, as well as the ability to write succinctly, persuasively and distill complex ideas into simple explanations. * Effective oral/written communication and interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable dealing with people and pressure, and building relationships cross-functionally. * Ability to influence others and perform well in a matrix environment. * Excellent communication and presentation skills across all levels of employee groups. Ability to communicate technical and business issues completely, concisely, and effectively to enable high-quality decision making and drive cross-functional alignment. * Strong business and financial acumen, organizational awareness, and change management skills. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong attention to detail. * Positive attitude, high level of curiosity, and willingness to learn. * Must be responsive and dependable, with a strong work ethic. * Demonstrated high levels of integrity and accountability. * to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Cleveland, OH is $115,000 to $135,000 annually.
