The salary range for this role, based in New York is $188,200.00 to $258,700.00, range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate's experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position. Position Summary The Senior Brand Director is the business leader responsible for developing and executing brand strategy, plans and programs for their brand/s that achieve two critical goals; a) build brand equity and, b) drive performance through long term profitable growth. To achieve this, the Senior Brand Director will work in close partnership with the Marketing Enablement, Transformation and Innovation teams and will leverage contextual precision, eCommerce, DTC, Insights and our media to shelf framework to create an integrated marketing strategy for their brand/s. He/she will partner with relevant Brand Companies and Agencies to develop local brand plans, programs and platforms that are consistent and align with global brand messaging. He/she is expected to grow market share by developing and executing timely and relevant CEPs and programs that drive top of mind awareness and conversion to increase the level of consumer engagement with their brands/. He/she will demonstrate a general management mindset and will have direct oversight/management of significant A&P budgets ($60MM+) and performance metrics (NNS, HHP, volume per caps). Reporting to the Vice President, Brand Marketing, he/she will be responsible for leading and delivering results through a team of 5+ Brand Management professionals. Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities * Own and deliver the annual brand operating plan, from strategy through to execution; * Manage brand plan development and brand positioning * Ensures brand programs and strategies are developed with flexibility and local adaptation in mind * Develop plans & programs that are culturally sensitive and inclusive * Partner with Innovation Hub to develop relevant, timely and value-added innovation plans for their brand/s * Own and deliver brand digital strategy / media engagement plans, including; * Partner and coordinate with BrandCo and Agencies for asset creation and bringing brand building strategies to life * Holistic management and oversight of brand/s performance: * Manage significant A&P budget of $60MM+, including always on tracking of ROI related to A&P spend and course correcting plans to maximize ROI * Measure, Monitor and drive brand equity and conversion, including diagnosing opportunities and problems to solve. * Category health, channel/customer performance * Brand performance vs competitors/market (market share) * Manage and develop a team of Senior Brand Managers, Brand Managers and Associate Brand Managers Job Requirements The role requires a highly motivated self-starter with strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to collaborate effectively across functions with passion and enthusiasm. Strong entrepreneurial ability to work around obstacles, results driven, and a bias for action with a pilot/learn/scale approach. * Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree (or equivalent); MBA or advanced degree preferable * Experience / Background: 10+ years of business experience, with experience in a senior level role in CPG, media agency or advertiser and working on the customer side. The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing large and culturally iconic brands with large A&P spends. Must have solid experience developing brand strategies grounded in insights and analytics. Must have experience in managing and partnering with a broad set of stakeholders in matrix organization as well as external agency partners. Must have experience managing financials and business performance including budget management. Ideal candidate will have previous experience in e-commerce, innovation and media. * This position may travel up to 25% of the time.
