DESIGN INTERN QUALIFICATIONS: * Working towards a college degree/recently graduated from a four-year program in graphic design or similar (must provide portfolio). * Understanding of organization styles and standards. * Ability to multitask on multiple projects at once with multiple clients and staff. * Ability to work quickly within tight deadlines. * Intermediate skill level on Apple computers with the following software: Adobe Creative Cloud (Primary: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) * Experience using Wordpress, Office 365, and Microsoft Teams a plus. DESIGN INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES: Use graphic design skills to support the Creative Advisory Team to market the Detroit Regional Chamber's programs, initiatives, and respective websites based on direction provided by senior members of our team. Adhere to the team's processes to keep design work flowing. * Manage assigned projects from concept creation and review, progress reporting/ updates, client review cycles and submission once finalized. * Manage in-house printing for events and Chamber programs as needed. Work to organize the design team drives for accuracy and efficiency. * Update design team logo library so files are up-to-date. * Maintain graphics/photo library for Team. Create/modify file formats of logos, photos as requested, correctly names, date and file graphics/photos. Other projects and duties as assigned. Support other team members during high-volume times. As a Design Intern you will be responsible for supporting the Creative Advisory Team with graphic design and department administration duties. This position will require print and digital design knowledge. This includes the design and layout of various digital assets across the Detroit Regional Chamber's website, edits to existing materials, file organization, and print production management. Responsible for providing some web support to the Creative Advisory team by uploading articles, blogs, and photos through WordPress. Also responsible for assistance in graphical needs for the Detroiter magazine. WORK SCHEDULE FOR A DESIGN INTERN This internship is part-time and will work 24 hours per week. This position is temporary, we are looking for someone to be available thru June 2025. The hours/ days of work are flexible but should fall between Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
