Role Purpose: The MRO Buyer is responsible for supporting the Maintenance department with critical part requirements to fulfill variable demands that impact the operation of the brewery. This includes sourcing parts, initiating purchase orders, expediting existing orders, coordinating logistics, contract development & negotiations for supplier/vendors selection, contract performance, MRO purchasing and repair management necessary to permit high rates of efficiency. Accountabilities & Impact: * Ensures all materials procured meet company quality standards. * Keep adequate supply of critical spare parts, tools, janitorial and cleaning supplies. * Develop and maintain pre-determined stock levels of spare parts and general use items (consumables). * Identify and recommend best pricing, service, delivery and quality for tooling, spares and equipment to be ordered. * Creates and routes for approval Vendor Maintenance form as required to create/add/change supplier profile information. * Acts as liaison with Accounts Payable and resolves all invoice/payment issues on the Indirect Purchasing side. * Work with production team, leaders, supervisors, maintenance and management to ensure maximum production efficiencies though data analytics, working with the Reliability Engineer, and driving cost saving measures. * Lead the development/recommendations for min/max levels of on-hand spares. Adjust levels as necessary to support the operations considering availability, sourcing, logistics and costs. * Designated CMMS Administrator, assist in training on CMMS (parts search & work orders etc.), ensure parts information accuracy and collaborate and share best practices with the Maintenance department across all plants. * Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets and reports as required, including monthly spends data and monthly inventory reporting working in collaboration w/Maintenance Inventory Clerk. * Bring ideas/solutions for continuous improvement to drive innovation/efficiency within the department Skills & Experiences Needed: * 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role within a manufacturing/maintenance environment preferably in the food and beverage industry. * Associates degree in business management - preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience The MRO Buyer position is well-suited for you if you have/are: * Experienced user of: Windows, Microsoft Office to include Excel and Access, Internet Explorer, Outlook, and Teams to create, update and modify spreadsheets * Mathematic skills (knowledge of calculations/formulas in order to create spreadsheets for cost savings, able to count large numbers of parts accurately and ability to match invoices with receivers for reconciliation). * Attention to detail, consistency, good organizational skills the ability to multi-task. * Excellent verbal and written communication. * Familiarity with Manufacturer part numbering systems and catalogs * Understanding of industrial standards and material types (i.e., thread sizes, rubber, plastic and metal types etc.) * Valid driver's license (may need to pick up parts for urgent needs). * High level of confidentiality required. * Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. * Must be able to drive fork lift/pallet truck if needed Working conditions: * This position is exposed to occupational hazards, including but not limited to, high noise levels, physical obstacles, exposure to chemicals, etc. * Subject to extreme heat/cold temperatures * Must have sufficient endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time. * Fast-paced and constantly changing work environment. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. * Ability to stand/move 8-12 hours per day. * Ability to ascend/descend stairs/ladders throughout shift. * Fine motor skills and dexterity for manipulation * Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including (but not limited to) bump cap, safety steel toe shoes, safety glasses, dust masks or PAPRs. * Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position within the state of Arizona.
