Position Type: Extra Positions and Stipends Date Posted: 7/17/2024 Location: River Edge Board of Education Date Available: 09/01/2024 Closing Date: 08/05/2024   Additional Information: Show/Hide 2024-2025 School Year - Stipend Position Grade Level Chairperson One teacher per grade level (K-6) in each school (A teacher at the grade level of appointment preferred - stipend position) Responsibilities: * Submit minutes from weekly grade level meetings. Communicate with administration between meetings on behalf of the grade level with regard to decisions, feedback to questions, and or suggestions * Disseminate information to team and office * Set up planning sessions with: literacy coach/supervisor, tech coach, math/science coach/supervisor, media specialist, Bi-borough curriculum supervisor, and principal * Budget for grade level * Link-it liaison for sharing reports * Member of Instructional Council * Discovery Lab liaison- work with team on schedules, lab costs and inventory of supplies * Field trip coordinator: a.) Complete application; submit to main office b.) Craft parent communication for grade including destination and cost per student (two weeks prior to trip) c.) Collect all checks and pay school information, submit with spreadsheet to include: student name, homeroom, and form of payment. Total must equal total cost of transportation. * Communicate with grade level chair in the other building to assure parity and consistency * Check in with grade level substitute teachers * Liaison to the PTO grade chair. Inform administration of schedule changes if needed * Report any ongoing technology issues to the tech department and the principal * The grade chair makes sure that the team runs smoothly, the team has a voice, and the team is informed * The grade level chair is responsible for any other reasonable duties assigned by the school principal REEA Members ONLY Canditates upload Letter of Interest
