Core Requirements: * Basic computer skills * Previous experience in a perishable goods industry * Previous experience in a dairy plant preferred * Previous experience in a management or supervision capacity preferred 2nd Shift 2 P.M. 10:30 Pm Monday through Thursday and Sunday 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: The successful applicant will be responsible for the supervision of 15+ employees. As such, (s)he will ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and cleanliness of the crew. It is imperative that (s)he can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; must have good telephone skills. Must be able to work well with numbers; part of the supervision process will include the counting of loads of product to verify accuracy, completing paperwork, and reporting results to upper management on a daily basis. Because our products are perishable and code dated, the successful applicant will be responsible for the proper rotation of all product in the cooler. Working on the night shift and being the only supervisor on duty in that department, (s)he will need to be a self-starter and able to work without direct supervision. The successful applicant will need to be able to work independently as well as with others and coordinate activities with other departments and supervisors. (S)he will be required to climb, crawl, and walk in an upright as well as a bent position to move in the back of trucks and throughout the cooler in checking the work of others. (S)he will be required to work in very hot (100°+ F) and very cool (32° F) environments throughout the plant. (S)he will also be required to work outside from time to time regardless of the conditions. The climate in the cooler is very cool and humid, and the plant is sometimes very warm and humid.
