TEAM CAPTAIN, TICKET OPERATIONS Ticket Operations Footprint Center Phoenix, Arizona Job Summary: Player 15 Group LLC includes several companies and many different departments that support the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury and Footprint Center. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Team Captain, Traffic Support with the Traffic Department. The Traffic Support Team Captain oversees the event-day operation of Part Time Traffic Support Attendants and delivers a world class experience which that welcomes every fan, exceeds expectations, and empowers our Team Members. What Will You Do: * Deliver upon the organization's Mission, Winning Behaviors and Service Promise by creating strong personal interactions resulting in positive first impressions and long-lasting, positive memories. * Consistently provide a personal venue and Team Member experience that exceeds expectations using good judgment without compromising safety and security. * Provide a warm welcome/thank you and facilitate all Team Member and guest-related matters in a professional and courteous manner through creative problem-solving. * Lead a team of Attendants by maintaining a visible presence and constant communication with Team Members and guests throughout the event. * Facilitate briefings at every event ensuring that each Team Member and garages/lots are "show ready" (proper Team Member uniforms, equipment, information, etc.) and Team Members are knowledgeable about event activities and prepared for the duties of their post. * Supervise event-day operations throughout the assigned garage/lot. * Ability to both collaborate with Traffic Support Management and work independently to resolve any team member or guest related issues from start to finish. * Disseminate information, equipment, and work collaboratively with the team to ensure safe and efficient traffic management throughout events. * Cultivate an environment of excellence by rewarding and recognizing team members who go above and beyond to deliver outstanding service. * Function as a coach by utilizing all tools and resources including training materials, rewards and recognition programs, and innovative ideas to ensure policy compliance. * Understand how to manage information, balancing employee confidentiality with business needs; knows when to communicate information upward. * Assist all guests in mitigating parking/traffic issues as needed. * Notify the Manager and responsible departments of all facility issues and housekeeping needs, recognize potential hazards, observe appropriate precautions with guests including response and assistance in medical and emergency situations. * Operate/troubleshoot radios, communicators, and handheld devices. * Additional duties may be assigned by a supervisor based on the event. * Maintains regular and reliable attendance What We Need From Our Team Captain: * Ability to project a friendly, approachable, and professional attitude and present a neat, well-groomed appearance at all times. * Ability to effectively communicate with and listen to diverse populations, including strong verbal communication, organization, and written skills. * Ability to interact with Team Members, supervisors, and the public clearly, effectively, and professionally. Will collaborate with others to produce results. * Ability to read and scan parking passes and ensure authenticity. * Must have a basic knowledge of technology, including operating and troubleshooting radios, communicators and handheld devices. * Ability to utilize service recovery methods confidently and independently. * Ability to react appropriately in emergency and high stress situations. * Maintain order and ensure adherence to all safety and security policies. Experience/ Education Requirements: * Prior experience as a TSR required * Previous ticket operations experience required * Previous cash handling experience required * Spanish/English bilingual preferred * Prior phone sales or retail experience is preferred What You Can Expect: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by a teammate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
