ASRC Federal is seeking a Software Developer/Quality Assurance Analyst to support the DEA's Diversion Division. Work arrangement: Hybrid Clearance: Public Trust (must be a US Citizen) Summary: The ideal candidate is a highly skilled professional who uses their expertise in software development to test and evaluate applications for production. Responsibilities: * Carry out procedures to ensure that all information systems, products, and services meet minimum organization standards and end user requirements. * Test software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects, document findings to resolve any issues encountered, and report progress on problem resolution to management. * Will devise improvements by examining current workflow and procedures to develop models of future configurations of systems that would improve quality and efficiency. * Adept with modern testing practices to include automated test scripts for web-based applications. Education/Experience: * BS/BA in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or equivalent * Minimum of four (4) years' work experience in a relevant field. Eight (8) years of related work experience in lieu of college degree. Requirements: The highly qualified candidate will represent experience/expertise in several areas, including: Essential * Testing web based and mobile enabled web-based applications, to include edge and stress/test-to-break testing * Writing Oracle SQL queries * Experience diagnosing/troubleshooting production web application issues * Solid knowledge of SQL and experience using relational databases such as Oracle and Postgres * Understanding of ER Diagrams of Data Warehouse Preferred * Experience developing, debugging, and running Selenium, and/or Groovy, and/or Cucumber automated test scripts for web based applications * Experience with JIRA issue tracking * Experience with GitHub version control * Java/TestNG experience * Python experience * Cloud, Docker, AWS Experience * Skill with modern Software Configuration Management and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts in a GIT-based environment, including code repositories, pull requests, automation tools. * Experience using CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), application monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk) and the Atlassian suite of tools such as JIRA, Confluence. * Understanding of UI Test Automation with best practices and patterns of building reliable and scalable automation.
