INVISTA is seeking an Operations Superintendent our Houston Chemical Plant (HCP). Our Team We are seeking an experienced Operations Superintendent to lead high-performing rotating shift teams. This role involves ensuring safe, compliant, stable, reliable, and productive day-to-day operations of the facility. You will be responsible for driving and coordinating tactical activities, supporting strategic operating initiatives, and implementing operational and production plans. What You Will Do * Leadership & Communication: Foster clear and effective communication with shift teams to ensure leaders and team members are aware of operational opportunities or initiatives. * Daily Operations: Participate in maintenance group discussion to align on daily priorities and manage tactical operational opportunities that may impact production. * Strategic Initiatives: Progress strategic initiatives to achieve site vision and goals. * Team Development: Supervise, develop, and provide constructive feedback direct reports and operations team. * Cultural Development: Partner with shift supervisors and shift teams to cultivate a site culture grounded in Principled Based Management, Human Organizational Performance (HOP), and Stable and Reliable operations. * Compliance: Ensuring all members of the operations team understand the compliance expectations of their role and operate the plant in compliance at all times and elevate compliance risk. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Experience: A minimum of 5 years in operations coordinating, leading, or facilitating daily operations priorities, with significant interaction with work processes. * Supervisory Experience: At least 4 years of supervisory experience. * Analytical Skills: Proficiency in leveraging tools and data to analyze trends and provide metrics to monitor unit operation and performance, and site profitability. * Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. What Will Put You Ahead * Industry Experience: Experience in chemical plant or refinery production. * Prioritization Skills: Capability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks. * HOP and Lean Concepts: Familiarity with Human Organizational Performance (HOP) and Lean manufacturing concepts.
