Position Summary: The Aerospace Engineer is the company point of contact for development, certification and fielding of new and existing STCs (Supplement Type Certificates). These programs are improvement or upgrade items designed to enhance the operational abilities of selected aircraft. * The Engineer will report to the Director of Technical Services, but often work with vendors and other company departments to support the project. Key Duties and Responsibilities: * May require some travel. * Oversee all Company STC development projects. * Assists in set up of supply chain to support STC products. * Ensures all timelines and action items are submitted on time. * Provides technical support to owners and installation facilities. * Works hands on with aircraft for measurements and specifications. * Works as liaison between company, engineering and certification vendors. * Assists company sales departments with features and marketing development. Physical Requirements: This work requires the following physical activities. * Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. * Working inside aircraft hangars, on the flight line and inside a variety of aircraft. Environmental Conditions: * Industrial/Hangar and flight line environment. Minimum Education Requirement: * Must have High School Diploma or GED * Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate * Inspection Authorization (IA) Certificate, preferred. * Strong understanding of 145 repair station operations/regulations required. Minimum Work Experience Requirement: * 3-5 years working in MRO setting. * Willing to work off location, weekends and overtime as need. Other Requirements: * Clean driving record. * Able to pass a background check. * Ability to pass a drug screening test. Qualifications/Special Skills and Certifications: * Sheet metal skills is a plus but not required. * Excellent Skill Sets with electrical system trouble-shooting. * Excellent skill sets with reading and interpreting aircraft drawings and wiring diagrams. * Results oriented Proven ability to achieve goals. Follows through and meets deadlines; Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills; Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Communication Oral Communication speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Participates in meetings. Written Communication Writes material in clear concise terms.
