Department Overview Our MSI CTO Systems and Solutions team consists of multiple standalone agile teams working on and developing emerging solutions and business-aligned projects. We develop and integrate video solutions, analytics features and sensor systems for more streamlined operations while bringing to life highly innovative end-to-end products and integrating Motorola Solutions and 3rd party systems via cloud-based connectors. Job Description The Ecosystem Connections Team is responsible for building connection integrations between Motorola Solution products internally and externally to 3rd party platforms. Our team members work in full stack team(s) to design, develop, test, deploy and manage all aspects of the connector integration. As a software developer, you will help with design, development, test and deployment of both front-end and back-end services while participating as a full member of our Agile team. As part of the Connections team you will: * Contribute as an agile team member. * Participate in all aspects of the product development process including requirement definition, design, implementation, and testing. * Analyze software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within quality assurance, time, and cost constraints. * Coordinate and participate in software design and code review. * Create and execute unit, integration and system tests. * Contribute to Inter/intra-group teamwork in a multi-site worldwide development environment. * Meet the project's deliverables and timeline requirements in a highly dynamic environment. * Adhere to the team's performance and quality metrics. * Develop intellectual property for the company. * Contribute to the improvement of existing software development processes. Basic Requirements What we are looking for: * Application development experience based on object-oriented design methodologies, threading, and resource management * Strong Understanding of API concepts and OS-level virtualization * Passion for developing clean and easy to maintain software with high-quality standards * Excellent communication skills Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills: * C#, C++, Java, Javascript * Experience with microservice design and development * Experience with various database types and database tools (MongoDB, DynamoDB, CosmosDB) * Experience with AWS, Azure or similar cloud platforms. * Experience with NodeJS, Angular, Flutter, Vue or React * Familiar defining and implementing robust APIs (REST) * Familiarity with Web Automation test tools * Familiarity with Redis is a plus. * Working experience with modern full-stack CI/CD tool chain and Test automation concepts * Knowledge with mixed WebApp / Mobile App development is a definite asset Environments that we work in: * Visual Studios / Git * Azure DevOps * AWS * Virtualization using both Docker and Kubernetes Basic Requirements * Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering or Science Must have 3+ years in a technical position with working experience Travel Requirements None Relocation Provided None Position Type Experienced Referral Payment Plan No EEO Statement Motorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
