All About You Under administrative direction, the Head Coach is responsible for the development, oversight, and management of all aspects of the competitive National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Men's and Women's Tennis programs. The Head Coach leads the following efforts for the Men's and Women's Tennis: recruitment of qualified student-athletes with a commitment to academic success; compliance with NCAA, Atlantic 10, and university rules and regulations; budget management; fundraising activities; community development; and organizing and directing camps and clinics. Administers the tennis programs for the athletics department; coaches at all scheduled matches; organizes and conducts all practice sessions; provides one-on-one instruction; oversees student team members' athletic and academic development. Job Responsibilities: * Coordinates the daily organization and overall administration of the men's and women's tennis programs * Schedules and conducts all home matches * Responsible for NCAA compliance * Monitors budget and finances for the tennis programs * Organizes and conducts all practice sessions; provides one-on-one instruction; oversees student team members' athletic and academic development * Responsible for recruitment of men's and women's tennis student-athletes * Performs other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Prior head coaching experience required * Proven ability to work independently, prioritize, and complete tasks in a timely manner * Excellent communication skills required for working with diverse groups * Strong written communication skills; excellent organizational skills with accuracy and attention to detail * Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion handling sensitive matters involving student-athletes Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; supplemented with five (5) years of related experience; previous collegiate coaching and recruiting experience required; ability to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends.
