GENERAL OVERVIEW OF THE JOB: The Integrated Brand Marketing Strategist, reporting to the Head of Brand and Marketing Operations, helps create and implement marketing strategies that integrate various channels including digital, print, and social media for the American Equity and Eagle Life lines of business. This role utilizes strategic thinking to deliver impactful brand messaging to targeted B2B2C audiences, enhancing and sustaining our reputation and brand presence. * This incumbent will be required to sit onsite in our West Des Moines, Iowa location* ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Brand Strategy: * Drives awareness, engagement, and loyalty with target audiences by developing and implementing marketing efforts that deliver a clear brand message. * Refines and clearly communicates brand's value proposition and messaging based on target audience research and competitive landscape. * Maintains and enhances brand consistency and visual identity across all marketing touchpoints, implementing strategies that strengthen brand equity and health metrics. * Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop brand and marketing initiatives that align with business goals. Line of business marketing, internal communications, sales, and product management are key partners. * Works closely with the creative team and line of business marketing to evolve and maintain brand guidelines for consistency across channels. Integrated Marketing & Content Strategy: * Drives campaign strategy, execution, and content for multi-channel marketing campaigns, working closely with Marketing Analytics to track and optimize performance. * Develops content strategies and collaborate with Creative and Customer Experience teams to deliver engaging content that supports marketing efforts including thought leadership, product marketing campaigns, and brand building efforts. * Works closely with Customer Experience team to optimize digital marketing efforts including email marketing, social media, SEO and SEM. * Delivers regular reporting for leadership, outlining marketing initiative performance, ROI, and recommendations for enhancement. * Stays up to date on the latest brand, digital marketing, and customer experience trends to continuously evolve our marketing approach Social Media: * Manages and grows a targeted social media presence across platforms, developing and executing paid advertising campaigns to increase engagement and awareness by creating and curating multimedia content and managing a content calendar. * Manages social communities monitoring and engages with followers and thought leaders to build brand credibility and influence in the industry. * Establishes a testing and optimization approach for social media initiatives. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1-2 direct reports EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, preferably in marketing, communications, or a related field. * 5+ years of related marketing strategy experience, including experience leading individuals or teams. * Experience in B2B, financial services, or related field a plus. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Experience creating and implementing integrated content strategies across multiple channels, e.g. digital, social, email, paid media, and print. * Experience developing content and digital journeys on websites, social media, online advertising and email campaigns. * Strong creative vision, grounded in a focus on business objectives. * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. * Ability to collaborate across stakeholder groups to ensure alignment. * Excellent project management and organizational skills. * Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and platforms, and ability to make data-driven decisions. * Ability to successfully handle pressure, multi-task, adapt to change and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. * Familiarity with financial services industry, especially insurance or annuities, is a plus. * Marketing software skills including Microsoft office, Marketing Cloud, and Adobe.
