Job Title HR Information Systems Analyst Job Description GENERAL STATEMENT OF FUNCTION The primary focus of this position is to support the maintenance of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) in addition to other systems supported by the HR Division. This position serves as a technical point of contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report production and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Analyst also supports HRIS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical and generalist HR projects as assigned. The HRIS Analyst reports to the Associate Vice President of Human Resources. This position requires an individual with an outgoing and positive attitude, multi-tasking ability, and excellent problem-solving capabilities. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to perform tasks in a timely, organized, and self-disciplined method. This position requires an individual with proficient technological skills, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a team environment. Job Duties 1. Process applications for new and current employees, to include compensation calculations and facilitation of employment contracts and salary records through the Banner ERP system, PeopleAdmin (applicant tracking system), and Perceptive Content (content services system). 2. Oversee the data integrity of HRIS systems. 3. Facilitate the tracking of position control management. 4. Update current and design HRIS procedures (e.g. job application, onboarding, and system interface processes). 5. Monitor and provide reports on various HR metrics (e.g. time-to-hire, turnover, cost-per-hire, etc). 6. Review recruitment software and suggest the best option for the college. 7. Recommend ways to improve the College HRIS data. 8. Coordinate with supervisors to forecast future HRIS needs. 9. Assist in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS upgrades or patches. Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Maintain HRIS tables. Document process and results. 10. Provide support for HRIS, including researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. 11. Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation. Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g. payroll). Use project management skills in managing projects. May provide overall project management for a given HR initiative. 12. Research and recommend data sourcing options. 13. Assists in the creation, maintenance, and support of a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools. 14. Maintain awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examine trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Through classes, reading, EDPs or other mechanisms, continuously increase both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge. Participate in user group meetings/conferences. 15. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data. 16. Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Train employees on new processes/functionality. Train new system users as needed. 17. Participate in the salary planning process to include completing checklist for hires, and participation in the college salary planning process as needed 18. Responsible for ACA reporting and generation of 1095C's 19. Assist HR team with campus requests and needs. 20. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President of Human Resources. Mandatory Qualifications MANDATORY: (M1) Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in HR Management, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related field. (M2) Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in job classification and compensation, payroll, recruitment, selection, training, employee benefits, and/or equal opportunity compliance. (M3) Demonstrated competency in technology to include the full Microsoft Office Suite, Applicant Tracking Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning Systems, or other related system. (M4) Demonstrated strong, proficient verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Desirable Qualifications DESIRABLE: (D1) Master's in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources/Personnel, or Organizational Behavior. (D2) Work experience in a community/junior college or university environment. (D3) 4 years of experience in related areas such as job classification and compensation, payroll, recruitment, selection, training, employee benefits, and/or equal opportunity compliance. (D4) Demonstrated successful project management skills that involve large scale coordination and collaboration across multiple segments of an institution or organization. (D5) Ability to function as an HR Generalist, if needed.
