Analog Garage Bioelectronic Platforms Group The Analog Garage is ADI's Research and Advanced Development Center in downtown Boston and empowers ADI by pioneering breakthrough technologies. The Bioelectronic Platforms Group within the Analog Garage is applying leading-edge circuit design, device design, and nano-scale fabrication technologies to develop innovative solutions to big societal problems in biology and human health. Senior Bioelectronics Platforms Research Engineer We are seeking a motivated, experienced Senior Bioelectronic Platforms Research Engineer to lead the development of electronic biosystems. As a core member of our team, you will work with physicists, biologists, chemists, mechanical, and electrical engineers, and business managers to set the vision for the electronic circuit specification and architecture, and lead the overall CMOS analog/mixed-signal implementation and evaluation. You will also conduct research into new areas of electronic biosystems relevant to Analog Devices and work with Life Science and Biotechnology industry experts to understand pain points and create solutions. Responsibilities: * Architecting analog and mixed-signal systems for "biology-on-a-chip," including system-level analysis, simulation, and verification * Leading CMOS analog and mixed-signal circuit implementation and evaluation. * Conducting research in new areas of Biological Sciences relevant to Analog Devices technologies, identifying pain-points, proposing candidate solutions, developing system implementation concepts, and evaluating them with simulation and/or experiments. * Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary experts across Analog Devices to leverage the wealth of existing company resources in electronic circuit design, process development, packaging, and more. Minimum qualifications * PhD in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, or related field Preferred qualifications * Has led one or more CMOS tapeouts, including analog/mixed-signal circuit design, physical implementation, and chip evaluation * Is knowledgeable in general physics, chemistry, and biology * Prior experience developing semiconductor devices combining passive structures, active electronics, and microfluidics for biological applications would be considered an asset, especially direct collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
