Responsibilities: * Support the Litigation, Labor & Employment Unit with work on various projects and presentations as well as legal research * Working with the paralegals and law clerk, assist with issues related to subpoenas and records management * Attend court appearances, depositions, and other litigation-related conferences and meetings with attorneys in the Litigation, Labor & Employment Unit and attorneys in other areas of the Legal Department. * Provide support in connection with available e-Discovery assignments and objectives. Requirements: * Requires High School Diploma * Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Criminal Justice, Pre-Law, Social Justice or related field * Strong verbal and written communication to effectively communicate with employees of all levels * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work well in teams * Strong work ethic and attention to detail * Interest in diversity & inclusion, litigation and/or labor and employment law * Superior interpersonal, influencing and persuasion skills as well as excellent relationship building skills * Ability to multi-task and to navigate relationships and time constrains effectively. * Strong orientation to technology and excellent PC skills.(MS Office) * Self-directed and motivated Additional Information: * Shadowing, mentoring, and training opportunities with seasoned professionals * Increase knowledge of insurance law, litigation, labor and employment law and the operations of a corporate legal department * Gain cross functional knowledge on preventing legal liabilities as an HR or legal professional Location: 3 Penn Plaza Newark NJ - Hybrid Work Schedule Schedule: 8am-5pm (9 hour work day with lunch) Duration: 11 week Summer Internship Program (June 2, 2025 - August 15, 2025) This is a pipeline requisition for the 2025 Summer Internship Program not currently an open position.
