Responsibilities Coordinate and develop programs with emergency medical services providers. * Act as a liaison between hospital and emergency medical services providers to increase volume of patients brought to emergency room. * Oversee hospital training regarding emergencies. Ensure plan meets federal, state and other regulatory requirements. * Educate emergency medical services providers of changes in pre-hospital standards of care. Establish quality review process for emergency medical services run sheets and follows up with providers. * Assist in the development of marketing and communication programs directed towards emergency medical services providers to increase awareness of hospital's range of services. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: * Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. * BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. * Paramedic credentialed from the Michigan Emergency Medical Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: * High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
