Job Description: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Fulfill contractual obligations for full instructional load during fall and spring semesters. * Plan activities which enhance student learning and public exposure to the Northwest Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra (Junior Orchestra) * Recruitment of students * Provide excellence in instruction within the jurisdiction of the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra and its education programs. * Assist in development and evaluation of curriculum as appropriate. * Utilize approved textbook(s) and/or other instructional materials as approved. * Collaborate with administration, faculty, and staff to ensure student success. * Provide student guidance and support. * Engage in institutional service, professional development, and other duties as assigned by the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra administration. * Complete annual mandatory compliance training. Requirements: * Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Music or a master's degree in a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Music. * Demonstrated evidence of professional development growth through participation in continuing education and other related activities. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Post-secondary teaching experience preferred. * Demonstrated success with online and class teaching preferred. * Strong classroom management skills in grades K-12 * Strong knowledge of stringed instruments required Additional Information: Classification: Part-Time Rate of Pay: $150.00 per session Location: Niceville Campus FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Application Deadline: This is a pool of applicants.
