The Role… At Soho Works, the Membership Manager for Los Angeles is responsible for identifying and developing action plans to relieve the most demanding membership needs. A successful candidate will focus on communication strategy to optimize member acquisition and member experience, as well as understand all membership updates and initiatives on a regional and global scale. The Membership Manager for Soho Works will ultimately be responsible for the Los Angeles membership portfolio, including but not limited to Lounge, Dedicated Desks and Private Offices. They will manage the regional communication needs and work closely with the greater NA Membership team to drive sales and growth. Additionally, the Membership Manager will occasionally support the onsite operations team. Key Accountabilities… * Drive occupancy and sales of all lettable space from Private Offices to meeting rooms * Responsible for supporting the daily communication with existing members and sharing feedback to ensure members are being heard and any issues are addressed. * Accountable for assessing and evaluating applications of prospective members and creating strategic initiatives that result in higher conversion rates. * Ensure all Soho Works material, physical and digital, is up to date. Work closely with the central marketing team to analyse behaviour and proactively adjust approach. * Support the development of content to ensure success of member events. * Act as the point of contact for prospective members visiting the property. * Provide consistent availability and support for the reception teams by addressing member inquiries and issues, resolving all in a timely manner. * Monitor member attrition and respond as needed to retain a healthy membership base. * Assist the greater Soho Works team with handling sensitive membership suspensions and cancellations to ensure proper care and attention has been given through the communication strategy and approach to enhance experience. * Manage requests from Soho House global executives, as well as Ad-Hoc duties, as assigned by supervisor/manager. * Drive membership recruitment through an extensive breadth of personal contacts in different industries; work to build and strengthen the Committees and applications and be responsible for achieving quarterly member targets for LA. Collect and analyse retention metrics as well as member survey data to better understand the needs/wants of the members. * Work cross-functionally with other teams (operations, content, creative, digital, events, partnerships and people & development) to deliver the SW objectives. * Plan, organize, and execute a diverse range of member events, including networking sessions, workshops, panel discussions, and social gatherings. * Curate event programming that adds value to the member experience and fosters community engagement. * Manage event budgets, logistics, and partnerships. * Evaluate event success through member feedback and metrics. * Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager. Requirements * A long-term city resident with extensive knowledge of the local area. Knowledge of local politics and has a personal network of contacts in different industries including but limited to; film, television, music, media and culinary, etc.. * 3-5 years experience within a similar role is advantageous * Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays as well as the ability to travel and attend various social functions in the area. * A sophisticated communicator with high standards of performance together with excellent communication, problem solving and listening skills. * A charismatic, confident creative individual with in depth knowledge of local market place. * Experience with dealing with celebrities and high-profile events. * Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines. * Ability to create strong relationships with guests, members, and staff. * Strong team player * Computer literacy within Nexudus, Salesforce and Tripleseat.
