Position Description The Administrative Services Officer 2is a full time, Civil Service position in which the incumbent serves as a support specialist for services essential to the direction and operation for the Davidson County Juvenile Court. Reports directly to the Division Director, who assigns duties and reviews completed assignments and tasks. Performs related duties as required. Davidson County Juvenile Court's mission is to prevent problems, promote the positive potential in all people, and pursue fairness and hope. Typical Duties * Prepare and file various petitions in compliance with relevant statutes. * Assist in custody petition filing. * Conduct risk assessments and support case processing. * Manage detention docket and provide support. * Collaborate with legal parties (DA, Public Defender, Victim Services). * Facilitate case processing at the Metro Student Attendance Center. * Address youth and detention staff needs. * Aid in transitioning youth out of detention. * Facilitate Foster Care Review Board procedures. * Handle probation violations. * Manage interpreter requests. * Manage transport requests and Fleet records. * Review indigency and appoint attorneys. * Perform other assigned Juvenile Court duties. Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Any combination of education and experience that would prepare the incumbent to perform duties of the position at the appropriate level. Employees would typically have a Bachelor's Degree plus one (1) year of professional experience in an administrative, financial, technical, or related field. LICENSES REQUIRED Valid Driver License may be required for some positions in this classification. Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply. Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.
