Have you been responsible for preparing technical documentation? Then, we want to hear from you! The Aging and People with Disabilities (APD) program, part of the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS), is looking to hire one dedicated and compassionate individual. Summary of Duties As a MMIS Policy Analyst, you will: * Evaluate Medicaid programs, services, systems, and program effectiveness using comprehensive operational research methodologies. * Present these evaluations and recommendations at the highest level for the Program or Leadership to consider as required new or changed policies needed to accommodate to MMIS system and/or business process. * Define system requirements by working with business and stakeholders and conduct detailed requirements analysis. Analyze user needs against the systems functions; validate data and system functioning by applying state policy and procedures to system functioning. Conceptualize and develop specification that include detailed design document and technical specifications. * Participate in screen and report design to ensure APD business is reflected in the final design product. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and five years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work. OR; Any combination of experience and education equivalent to eight years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification. Essential Attributes We are looking for candidates with: * Experience with Oregon's APD Non-MAGI Medicaid Programs' eligibility criteria and determination processes. * Experience with APD Long-Term Services and Supports including knowledge of financial eligibility and payment systems. * Experience with Oregon's MMIS system, including an understanding of connections/interfaces with other systems. * Experience with policy, systems, and data analysis. Working Conditions * This position involves frequent interruptions in person and by phone. * Frequent contact with representatives with associations, providers, health plans, OHA/ODHS and partner agencies staff and clients. * Occasional travel throughout the state. * Requires valid driver's license or other acceptable method of transportation.
