Job Description This role reports firsthand information of news events national and international. The news correspondent provides to the audience context, analysis, and different perspectives. Responsibilities: * Daily coverage of news events primarily from the Miami bureau. * Contribute to the editorial line of the day pitching stories and exclusive reports or interviews. * Special coverage of important news events * Researching and gathering of new stories using a variety of sources, such as interviews, press releases and social media. * On occasions travel to cover breaking news * work in a fast paced, dead-line driven environment with the willingness to work weekends, early morning shift and have flexible hours for last-minute scheduling changes. * Work under the supervision of executive and senior producers. * Work in collaboration with assignment editors, executive producer, producers, and writers. * Exhibits an understanding of social media to gather information for the stories.
