Job Summary The Graduate Clinical Nutrition Specialist conducts nutritional assessments and manages the nutritional care process based on patients' clinical presentations and disease states. Under the supervision of an advanced practice dietitian until licensure is obtained, the specialist will document care plans, provide individualized education, and make nutritional recommendations and referrals to support patient care. The specialist demonstrates proficiency in nutrition-focused physical exams (NFPE) and performs computer-related activities as required, executing job responsibilities in alignment with TGH's mission, vision, and values. Dietetics. Ability to obtain licensure from Florida Department of Professional Regulation and eligibility to sit and pass the registration examination by the Council for Dietetic Registration within the Academy of Nutrition within 90 days of hire. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics from an institution with an accredited program is required. Master's degree preferred. specialty certifications a plus * CDR Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetics Registration - RDN. * Licensure with the Dietetics and Nutrition Practice Council - Florida Department of Health - LDN. * One (1) year of experience in clinical settings is preferred. Will consider new graduates with demonstrable knowledge of clinical nutrition, and instructional techniques.
