Darigold is seeking an Oregon licensed Plant Journeyman Electrician (PJ) to join our Portland Plant Maintenance team. The candidate must have industrial electrical experience and will be responsible for installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment following the National electrical Code (NEC), manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications. What you will do: (other duties may be assigned): Responsible for maintaining all types of plant equipment in good working order including but not limited to: * Maintain and provide proof of state licensing required to fulfill this position. Complete the state requirements for continuing education to maintain licensing. * Diagnose, troubleshoot, test, install or repair electrical parts, equipment and systems including power distribution, motors, controls, VFDs and PLCs. * Perform accurate instrument calibrations and other preventive maintenance including following written procedures and detailed documentation of results. * Troubleshoot and repair process sensors, actuators, and other field devices. * Troubleshoot and resolve control networks, instrumentation, PLC, HMI, VFD, servo and control problems in collaboration with plant IT/OT staff. * Safely work with three phase and single-phase medium voltage and low voltage electrical systems AC/DC 24V-480V. * Read and interpret work orders, safety rules, mechanical and electrical control drawings, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. * Working knowledge of and adherence to national, state, local building codes, OSHA, and standard industry safety rules/regulations. * Perform the general duties of a plant electrician; run conduit & wire, replace electrical equipment, install new equipment, perform preventive maintenance on production and facilities equipment, initiate and modify electrical designs, and update electrical drawings. * Entering data and hours worked utilizing CMMS (EAM). Follow proper procedures for checking out parts inventory from stockroom. * Following all plant safety procedures, this includes wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.as well as LOTO procedures. * Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes. * Maintain accurate and complete records, document all work performed appropriately. * Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area. Utilize GMP (good manufacturing practices) when performing work. * Willing to cover for and assist maintenance mechanics when needed. * Perform other duties as assigned. What you will bring: * Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred. * Maintain license in good standing with the state of Oregon, provide license number for verification check. * Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays. * Must be able to work in a wet/humid environment with moderate noise. * Effectively work in a team environment. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to urgent repairs. * Ability to multitask with multiple projects or tasks across different production lines. * Effective verbal and written communication skills. * Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. * Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, crawl, reach, bend, climb and occasionally sit throughout the entire shift. * Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds occasionally and assist others when lifting is necessary. What you will need: * Oregon Plant Journeyman (PJ) or Oregon Limited Supervising Electrician (PS) license with 4 years verifiable industrial electrical experience.
