Description Volunteer Programs Manager Wage: DOE Shift: Full time, salary position. Generally, Monday-Friday, between 9am and 5pm. Some weekends and early mornings/late nights are required during events. Summary: As the Volunteer Programs Director, you will play an integral role in furthering Thanksgiving Point's mission. You will organize and provide the support needed to deliver world-class experiences across property. Responsiibilities: * Manage the day to day needs of our volunteer staff including recruiting new volunteers, coordinating needs with managers, creating schedules, conducting interviews and trainings, and mentoring. * Collaborate with varying departments to develop, promote, and maintain a wide range of volunteer opportunities across Thanksgiving Point property. * Work together with the Volunteer Advisory Board to improve the volunteer program through recruitment, retention, communication, and recognition. * Develop and oversee department budget. * Coordinate with community groups (church, corporate, youth, etc.) to organize service opportunities. * Advocate for volunteers through surveying, tracking, and reporting volunteer impact and volunteer satisfaction. * Other duties as assigned * Exemplify Thanksgiving Point's Mission, Values and Policies Requirements: * Prior volunteer management experience preferred. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Project management experience. * Must be reliable, self-motivated, and organized. * Ability to work collaboratively. * Experience supervising and supporting a diverse team. * Proficient in basic computer applications, such as Word and Excel * Physical demands may include working outside, bending, twisting, climbing stairs, or lifting 25-50lbs. * Pass a background check EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
