Job Description LaBella is currently looking to hire a Staff Geologist/Environmental Scientist in the Greensboro, North Carolina office of our Waste and Recycling Division. LaBella has over 1,900 employees in over 35 offices throughout 13 states and 3 countries. Our growing Greensboro office provides focused, technical environmental consulting services with the resources of a larger-sized firm. This is an opportunity for a smart and talented professional with enormous upside potential as part of a growing company. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join a dynamic team working on technically engaging and impactful projects. The successful candidate will perform field work including groundwater, soil, stormwater, and surface water sampling, submit samples to a laboratory for analysis, manage and evaluate field and lab data, supervise contractors and drillers, and support the preparation of reports. This individual will also assist project managers on various projects. The ideal candidate will enjoy a mix of office and field time. Duties: * Performing field work primarily throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and southern Virginia. * Soil and groundwater sampling * Stormwater sampling * Landfill gas monitoring. * Landfill gas system operations and maintenance. * Perform and / or supervise field activities such as borings and monitoring well installations. * Collect, record, and organize field data in a concise manner. * Data presentation, map creation, and report preparation. * Prepare deliverables on time and within budget. * Maintain open communication with project team members. * Represent the company in a professional manner and in line with firm's core values. * Conduct work to professional standards and following firm's QA/QC policy.
