Position: Evercore seeks to hire a Research Associate to support the Senior Research Analyst equity research coverage of MedTech and Life Science Tools companies. This opportunity is located in New York, NY and we are looking for an immediate hire. Responsibilities include: * Develop and update company-specific and industry financial models * Perform financial and valuation analysis of MedTech companies * Author industry and company-specific research reports * Oversee data collection and monitor investor news services * Other duties as necessary Specific Qualifications: The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and should be comfortable working independently as well as in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Prior equity research or investment banking experience is preferred. * Exceptional analytical and modeling capabilities * Excellent communication skills; the job entails significant writing and PowerPoint responsibilities * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Comfortable working on a cross functional healthcare team (good for gaining broader perspective!) * Concrete understanding of / demonstrated interest in corporate finance & equity markets * Background in investment banking, equity research, consulting or finance-related fields with 1 to 5 years of experience * Industry exposure is a plus, but not required * Desire to get your hands dirty to drive the success of a leading MedTech / Tools franchise About Evercore: Evercore (NYSE: EVR) is a premier global independent investment banking advisory firm.
