Microsoft's Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) team builds and operates Microsoft datacenters, which in turn powers Microsoft's cloud business. The CO+I Engineering team (CO+IE) delivers services, applications, and automation supporting datacenter planning, construction, and operation. We own a large portfolio of services, including workflows that enable predictable, lowest cost datacenter construction, telemetry systems that drive high availability and optimized energy usage, and task and performance management applications that help our operation run as efficiently as possible. The Security Engineering & Critical Infrastructure (SECI) team is focused on delivering security and critical environments technology services across the datacenter delivery and maintenance lifecycle. In this role you will drive technology outcomes by leading the end-to-end delivery of IT and critical environments infrastructure projects that improve security across our global portfolio. As Senior Technical Program Manager, you will partner closely with your colleagues, engineering, and infrastructure teams, and key decision makers across CO+I to develop in class network infrastructure for high security networks in datacenters and into space. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. * This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ. * Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates will need to relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location. * This role is eligible for remote work up to 100%. Required/Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development * OR equivalent experience. * 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. * Experience in planning and delivering core infrastructure projects to support critical environment such as physical security, electronic power and maintenance, and building automation. * Experience in applying industry standard project and program management methodologies and disciplines to increase efficiency and scalability. Other Requirements: * Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred/Additional Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, * OR product development * OR equivalent experience. * 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. * Previous datacenter exposure/experience with operations, planning, and engineering. * Experience solving problems by leading with passion and empathy for customers. * Attention to detail and high commitment to accuracy and auditing. * Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundaries. * Industry standard certifications such PMP, PgMP, PfMP, PMI-CP, PMI-RMP * Technical acumen, with the ability to solve both technical and non-technical problems. * Proven ability to lead large, cross-organizational, technical infrastructure deployment projects. Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
