Job Title: Lead Mechanical Design Engineer Job Description * Engineer projects from the proposal phase all the way through qualification and design. * Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements and related specifications. * Perform necessary calculations to show performance of equipment to specifications. * Work with engineering staff and prepare all necessary documents for the project including schedules, designs, drawings, and required reports. * Conduct analytical studies on engineering proposals and existing designs for hydraulic products. * Knowledge of general design and drafting of mechanical equipment, with a preference for knowledge of aerospace equipment, especially hydraulic components or systems. * Perform basic calculations such as weight, stress, and spring design. * Exhibit above-average oral and written communication skills. Hard Skills * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace * 7+ Years SolidWorks Design * 7+ years experience designing hydraulic valves and components * 5+ years experience in the Aerospace industry Soft Skills * Above-average oral and written communication skills Job Type This is a permanent position.
