Position Overview: Ameresco has an opportunity for an Energy & Sustainability Intern to join Ameresco's Central Region Project Development Team based in Evanston, Illinois or Oak Brook, Illinois. This is a paid internship (32- 40 hours per week) scheduled for September thru December 2024. Responsibilities: * Collaborate with Engineers to provide project support for development, design, construction, and post-construction activities. * Provide assistance with energy assessments including baseline profiles, end-use, and retrofit analysis. * Analyze utility bill data and sub-meter data for buildings or for building systems. * Assist with the assessment of project requirements to evaluate opportunities for energy efficiency. * Analyze and document building, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing systems. * Investigate, analyze, and document energy conservation and water cost reduction measures. * Prepare technical content, proposals, analysis, feasibility reports and provide critical peer review. * Foster effective and positive business relationships with all parties throughout project phases. * Perform other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications: * Northwestern University Student currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in science or engineering with an interest in Energy and/or Sustainability.
