Description JOB SUMMARY: The South Town Security Supervisor works to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the Security Department to guarantee the safety and security of buildings, properties, employees, and guests across Smith Entertainment Group properties. The Security Supervisor oversees a small team of full-time security staff and ultimately reports to the Sr. Manager, Building Security. Shift: 8am-4pm. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Supervise a team of building/mall security full-time employees * Possess a strong understanding of all areas of the building and SEG properties (e.g. Shops at South Town) * Execute policies and procedures to maintain the highest quality of public safety * Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences * Answer alarms and investigate disturbances * Interact with guests in the Mall environment and tenants. * Must be able to take objections and respond with a guest service approach first * Enforce building safety and security rules and policies * Foster strong communication within the department * Ensure consistent standards of practice * Train and present to staff * Embrace a culture of diversity and inclusion where guests and team members feel welcomed, valued, and heard * Enrich lives by creating winning experiences and timeless memories * Operate with an emphasis on safety for employees, teams, and guests * Other duties as assigned COMPETENCIES: * Instills trust - Gaining the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity. * Builds effective teams - Building strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals. * Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. * Ensures accountability - Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments. * Manages conflict - Handling conflict situations effectively, with a minimum of noise.
