JOB SUMMARY: Support of quality improvements in products and processes and provide guidance in matters relating to regulatory and oversight environments Support various production areas across Fabrication, Assembly Aircraft Completions and Delivery, as well as functional areas such as Supply Chain, Engineering, and Customer Service. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop and revise Quality systems and procedures as directed by management to ensure documentation is compliant to current practices. * Conduct Government and FAA requested audits and investigations and report on corrective action steps taken to prevent recurrences when necessary. * Gather and analyze performance data (scrap, rejections, defects, rework) to aid in the development of process improvement projects. As needed, coordinate across other production and functional areas to ensure maximum quality and efficiencies are achieved. * Conduct process or product based audits in production or functional areas or within the supply base (external suppliers). EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE: Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field. QUALIFICATIONS: * Professional and diplomatic demeanor * Strong sense of accountability and integrity * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Time management skills to support multiple concurrent projects * Ability to deal with change and work in a dynamic environment * Proficient in use of standard Microsoft Office programs Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship. Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks. Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
