The aim of the Fellowship is to further the Fellow's education and career development through participation in the Center's programs and activities including: * Research on topics relevant to law and policy that promotes the sustainable management of natural resources. * Preparation of reports and white papers. * Coordination and interaction with colleagues outside of the Law School in furtherance of the Center's programs, including the Water Institute of the Gulf and Louisiana Wildlife Federation. * Supervision of research assistants. * Development of at least one topical presentation for colleagues and relevant parties. This fellowship is a position limited to two years. * Demonstrated capacity for working with people from varied backgrounds and persuasions in dynamic situations. * Ability to travel for occasional out of town meetings, conferences, or symposia. * Ability to write and speak clearly and concisely. * JD or LLM within the last two years prior to the date of hire. * Superior academic record and a strong interest in the legal and policy dimensions of environmental management and stewardship. * Actual experience in the environmental field. * Demonstrated interest in Louisiana and related natural resource systems.
