Job Summary: Operates VCI roll coating machine, on a flexo press, for applying a coating and print graphics across a substrate. (Training will be on 1st shift- 7:30 am - 4:00 pm) Job Duties: * Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouse * Maintains a safe working environment by following all company safety policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions and incidents, while maintaining quality standards * Identifies poor quality material and notifies the supervisor and/or Quality Control * Responsible for recording jobs into computer with correct usage to maintain inventory * Flags splices and problem areas * Check VCI coating levels to ensure an appropriate amount is applied. * Check print heads/printed material to ensure a legible print is present. * Identify equipment needing repair and notify supervisor/team lead * End of order/day cleaning required, includes flushing out of ink pans, cleaning of anilox rollers and print plates, wiping down/cleaning of machine rollers if buildup occurs. * Must be willing to work in other departments and/or areas and complete miscellaneous duties as assigned Job Qualifications: * High School diploma and/or equivalent * Printing press experience is preferred * Must have organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task * Must be able to keep up with production standards * Exceptional attention to detail and good follow-up skills * Must possess good problem solving skills * Ability to interact in a professional manner with coworkers and other departments * Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing * Basic computer skills * Willingness to work as team member or independently * Must be able to read a tape measure * Must be able to lift up to 50#'s * Must be able to read a micrometer * Must be able to stand for 8 hours with some bending and lifting involved Transcendia is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all candidates for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law
