Responsibilities Provides leadership, insight, and tools to develop, manage, monitor and assess digital strategy to support broader Mayo Clinic strategic objectives. Drive meaningful research and conversations to communicate the implications of drivers, trends, uncertainties, and decisions impacting our future. Articulate strategic choices and impact to Mayo Clinic. Focuses specifically on the creation and curation of digital- and data-specific research, analysis, intelligence, insight, and forecasting. Provides guidance, recommendations, tools, and artifacts to aid in developing and monitoring digital strategy; deliverables are focused on digital strategy and may include - in full or contributions toward - scenario planning, strategy assessments, strategic plans and objectives, opportunity assessments, business model development, strategic measurement development, capability modeling and assessments, input to product or emerging technology strategy, influence plans, strategic communications, input to efforts to demonstrate the ROI of digital initiatives, input to business plans, and more. Additional responsibilities include: Position the Center for Digital Health for sustainable advantage and to exceed consumer expectations by creating and/or contributing to strategic plans, priorities, objectives, and transformation to advance Mayo Clinic digital strategy: Support through insight and analysis CDH's strategic posture and competitive position in response to drivers and issues in the digital domain. Conduct and/or synthesize external market research and internal insights to ensure collaborative digital strategy grounded in data. Leverage optimal frameworks and digital strategy tools to identify strategic choices that support leadership efforts to determine priorities, investments, and definition of success. Develop and monitor initiatives to advance digital strategy in support of institutional goals. Contribute to partner or vendor engagements as needed. Develop or contribute to inspiring and easy-to-understand artifacts that effectively communicate strategic plans and resulting action. Develop highly effective work products to build shared understanding for assigned strategy products/projects. Synthesize external market and internal insights in order to develop compelling digital strategy work products that identify and communicate the meaning of key drivers, trends, uncertainties, and options impacting our future. Create or support creation of digital strategy communication, storytelling, and engagement artifacts. Support ongoing digital strategy management: Leverage and maximize collaborative agile frameworks and processes to develop, measure, refresh, and apply digital strategy. Contribute to efforts to demonstrate strategic value of the CDH digital portfolio. Partner with digital strategy leadership team to ensure alignment with stakeholders and partner teams. Collaborate with influencers across the digital and Corporate Strategy domains to ensure integrated and aligned initiatives. Bridge strategy and execution by adopting agile frameworks and processes to develop digital strategy in ways that collaboratively engage CDH teams. Advise CDH teams in strategic thinking, methodologies, tools, and initiatives as appropriate. Partner with Corporate Strategy on shared approaches and common tools. Demonstrate empowered ownership in career development; actively pursue development opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience with digital strategy, digital product strategy, experience strategy, healthcare administration, business administration, strategic development experience, or related field; or Master's degree and 5+ years of related experience in the preceding or related fields. Experience must include several of the following areas of expertise: digital product strategy and/or management, strategic planning, business plan development, consulting, customer experience or experience design, project management, stakeholder engagement, process change management, scorecard and dashboard development, financial analysis, new service/product planning and development, market research, and data management, analysis, and statistics. Management experience and experience with value-driven digital product management is preferred; experience navigating transformation in highly regulated industries is a plus. Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize and capture the essence of complex information in order to discern meaning, trends, and the big picture quickly. Experience in consulting or advisory functions; demonstrated success in analyzing situations and using various methodologies to develop high-value strategies and plans methodically. Working knowledge of Design Thinking, experience design, and digital analytics as inputs to digital strategy processes and artifacts; able to bridge digital disciplines to develop novel strategy solutions that balance the needs of multiple stakeholders. Experience in successfully managing stakeholders in complex, matrixed, and strategic initiatives. Demonstrated success in effective decision-making that drives progress toward ambitious goals while managing complexity, ambiguity, risk, and uncertainty. Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and collaborate across disciplines, including business strategy, experience design, analytics, and technology. Expert story-telling skills. Strong written and verbal communication and persuasion skills. Strong interpersonal and active listening skills; ability to quickly establish high-trust relationships and facilitate group/team activities. Professional approach that reflects Mayo Clinic values. Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail; ability to self-direct with minimal supervision, demonstrate judgement in delegating responsibilities, and work well under pressure. Exemption Status Exempt Compensation Detail $128,502.40 - $186,264.00/ year. Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
