Interim Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Human Resources JobID: 4196 Position Type: Administration Date Posted: 9/12/2024 Location: Hunterdon Central Regional High School   Additional Information: Show/Hide Description: Hunterdon Central Regional High School, serving 2,500 students on a beautiful and expansive campus of 72 acres in suburban New Jersey, is seeking a highly-skilled and experienced educational leader to serve as Interim Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Human Resources. We are an innovative educational community dedicated to wellness, powerful learning, strong partnerships, and service, through focuses on equity, personalization, and service learning. Hunterdon County, New Jersey is a supportive community of engaged partners and families. Students attend Hunterdon Central Regional High School from four separate K-8 districts. Our school enjoys strong relationships with these districts, and with countless other organizations and interests, allowing for diverse and exciting opportunities for community-based education. Central's campus is home to multiple buildings in an open model that totals roughly 500,000 interior square feet. Our budget and our Operations Department support state-of-the-art facilities for teaching and learning. The District is in the process of revamping its long-range facilities plan to ensure cutting edge and flexible learning spaces far into the future. The Interim Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Human Resources facilitates all aspects of our work, primarily through ensuring mission-aligned approaches to program development, staff recruitment and retention, professional development, and community partnerships. In short, the successful candidate will prove that they can ensure that our program and our staff are in the best position to reflect through diversity, empower through engagement and mentorship, and grow through relevant and personalized opportunities the identities and aspirations of all of our students, allowing each of them, as unique individuals, access to the promises of our mission. The Interim Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Human Resources reports directly to the Superintendent and oversees a staff of administrators and support specialists. This team is responsible for continuing a tradition of excellence across an innovative and comprehensive educational program that includes magnet opportunities, dual enrollment courses, independent study opportunities, advanced placement, hands-on service learning, and many more choices for students, all taught and facilitated by an exceptionally talented and passionate staff of educators. TheInterim Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Human Resources will also work directly with partner and sending schools, the Board of Education, labor associations, community partners, and other organizations, individuals, and agencies toward the continued development of a truly collaborative structure for collective impact. Qualifications: * Valid New Jersey School Administrator Certificate * Demonstrated success as a secondary education educator and leader * Demonstrated expertise in project management, staff supervision and evaluation, program evaluation, and data-driven decision-making in the school setting, with a focus on student wellness, equity, and personalization in the secondary school experience * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Technology proficiency, including Google Apps for Education, Microsoft Office and other relevant school-based technology Dates: 9/24/2024 - 3/30/2025 Application Procedure: Interested candidates must apply online at https://www.applitrack.com/hunterdon/onlineapp/ Selection Procedure: Only candidates of interest will be contacted for interviews The successful candidate will need to reside in the State of NJ within 1 year of appointment.
